The Bears on Friday night selected LSU receiver Zavion Thomas with the 89th pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.
A 5-foot-10, 190-pounder from Woodmere, Louisiana, Thomas spent his final two collegiate seasons at LSU after playing for two seasons at Mississippi State. With the Tigers, Thomas appeared in 26 games, including 10 starts, and recorded 716 yards on 64 catches and six touchdowns and earning Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2025.
At Mississippi State, Thomas played in 22 games with eight starts, totaling 507 receiving yards on 42 receptions. He earned freshman All-American honors as a punt and kick returner and returned 15 punts for 202 yards and one touchdown.
